Yin Chang, one of the hugely biodiverse limestone karst rainforest remanants in Xishuangbanna China, is surveryed by team members of XTBG. In just one day in this newly explored site 23 orchid species were recorded. This included many flowering examples of Flickingeria calocephala, a species that flowers only one day per year. Group leader, Liu QIANG, had never before seen this species flower in his 10 years study of this regions orchids.
