Flickingeria calocephala orchid at Yin Chang, one of the hugely biodiverse limestone karst rainforest remanants in Xishuangbanna China, found during a survery by team members of XTBG. In just one day in this newly explored site 23 orchid species were recorded. This included many flowering examples of Flickingeria calocephala, a species that flowers only one day per year. Group leader, Liu QIANG, had never before seen this species flower in his 10 years study of this regions orchids.
